As a native Texan growing up on a farm in the Hill Country, Shavawn enjoyed the experience with her father building farm and ranch houses. Following her love for residential construction, Shavawn attended Texas State University where she received her Bachelors degree in Interior Design with a minor in Architecture and Art History.
Shavawn is a Registered Interior Designer, NCIDQ certified, as well as a professional member of ASID, serving as Chair of Fort Worth in 2016. She draws inspiration from listening to her Clients, seeking creative ideas from their lifestyle and the challenge of “puzzling” houses together. Her favorite part of Interior Design is working with clients to bring their vision together and showcasing their unique style.

Chris Hough graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 1996. With a desire to start in the Residential market, Chris began apprenticing in the Highland Park and University Park areas. He worked with noted architects J. Wilson Fuqua and Elby S. Martin. These homes required an extraordinary amount of detailing and documentation in order to be approved by the Architectural Committees, and also needed a certain timeless quality to fit within the neighborhoods of Highland Park and University Park.
As a true artist, Chris has a strong commitment to excellence in home design, which is what compelled him to launch Heritage Design Studio in 2000.
